Fishery Friendly Climate Action advances climate action led by "people in boots, not people in suits." Our grassroots fishermen-led campaign aims to ensure that the U.S. achieves much-needed greenhouse gas emissions reductions, but that it does so in a way that upholds the vitality of fishery ecosystems and the prosperity of fishing economies. 

By providing fishermen and fisheries associations with networking and learning opportunities, policy tools, and communications support, the campaign catalyzes engagement in climate policy making to ensure that technologies and practices benefitting fisheries are prioritized in national and state climate solutions portfolios.

Although commercial fishermen across the U.S. experience climate impacts differently, there is one thing we can agree on: America must address climate change in the most fishery-friendly way possible, by uplifting technologies and policies that work for fisheries and not at their expense. Given the urgency of the climate crisis, there is not a moment to lose.
