The Pacific Urchin Harvesters Association (PUHA) is an industry association representing harvesters and licence holders. PUHA was established in 1994 to develop consensus industry positions on the management, continuing development and execution of the Red and Green Sea Urchin (Mesocentrotus franciscanus and Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis respectively) fisheries in British Columbia, Canada. The Association encourages and advises on research and coordinated marketing to support sustainable use of sea urchin and related marine resources in BC while promoting a focus on quality through all stages of harvesting, processing and distribution.
