Currently, Alfredo Seafood is the local leader in the fresh fish segment and one of the top 3 players in frozen fish and seafood areas.
Our success is based on several ingredients: over 20 years of experience and strong international relationships with the world's leading manufacturers; the highly productive automated processing and packaging lines in our Bucharest factory; an optimized transport logistics system.
The centerpiece of our business is the passion for fish and seafood, which we bring from carefully selected sources: areas with the cleanest waters, where sustainable fishing is practiced.
In 2018, Alfredo Seafood became the first brand in Romania to obtain two of the most important international certifications for sustainable fishing and fish farming, that also attest the high quality of fish packaging and processing, meeting stringent criteria for storage, processing, and logistic flow: MSC (Maritime Stewardship Council) and ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council).
The Alfredo Seafood portfolio is among the most extensive on the local market, and contains a nice variety of fish and seafood products, both wild, aquaculture and organic, sourced from all over the globe. These include cod, mackerel, herring, and wild salmon, farmed salmon, trout, and pangasius, as well as bluefin tuna, sea bream, halibut, and sea bass, Romanian carp, and turbot fillets etc.
The seafood segment is also varied, with shrimps, clams, squid, wild and farmed octopus from Asia and South America
In recent years, the brand has focused on innovation and range expansion. The latest innovative development is the SKIN product line, which includes seafood specialities that, due to the vacuum packaging technique, preserve the freshness, texture, and taste of the meat. In 2022, we launched the Romanian fish range, another step towards supporting local producers and promoting quality Romanian products.
