Our story: In 1954, the first ever in Azerbaijan and one of the first in the world, an experimental aquaculture farm was set up in the Neftchala district. Its location was selected specifically to match the historical sturgeon spawning grounds (upriver migration from the sea) in the estuary of Kura River on the west coast of the Caspian Sea. In 2017 the farm was privatized by AFF, and since then, we have been extensively modernizing, equipping, and refining this farm in pursuit of continuous improvement.

Selection: At AFF, we take pride in providing our customers with the highest quality fresh caviar from six sturgeon species five of which is endemic to the Caspian Sea basin:  Huso Huso (Beluga), Acipenser Gueldenstaedtii (Diamond Sturgeon), Acipenser Ruthenus (Sterlet), Acipenser Persicus (Caspian Osetra),  Acipenser Stellatus (Sevryuga) and a crossbreed Acipenser NudiventrisxHuso Huso (Royal Caspian Blend).
