"Grands Vins de Bordeaux" was produced by the 5 Generations of the Lavigne Family, from 1830 to 1992. It was at this moment that Sophie Lavigne and Laurent Poitevin decided to take in charge of the destiny of those 2 vineyards. They were transmitted by Philippe and Françoise Lavigne, Parents of Sophie, to the young couple Sophie and Laurent Poitevin. No transmission of Vineyards without transmission of knowledge!!!
Philippe Lavigne bequeathed to them all his knowledge and experiences of these terroirs, so sensitive and capricious! It’s thus that one Generation more was built, the 6th! Henceforth, Sophie and Laurent did not cease, in their turn, to perfect and enlarge those vineyards, while having secured, by their two sons Thomas and Pierre, a 7th Generation. Today, the respect of the wine and wine traditions, combined with the evolution of knowledge and technology, allowed the wines produced at Château Grand Bert and Château Grand Tuillac to achieve a quality recognized and indispensable to the reputation of the prestigious appellations of Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Saint Emilion and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux.
