Cantine San Marzano is a leading winery from the wine producing region of Puglia, the heel of Italy’s boot, located in the area of the appellation Primitivo di Manduria DOP.

The story began in 1962, when 19 vine growers from the village of San Marzano di San Giuseppe, whose families had farmed the land for generations, came together to follow their dream and founded Cantine San Marzano. Throughout the decades the cooperative has grown significantly and now attracts over 1,200 top-quality vine growers who own around 1500 hectares of vineyards.

Using modern vinification techniques, the winemakers produces elegant wines that pay homage to the ancient Apulian wine traditions. This fusion of time-honoured tradition, passion and contemporary craftsmanship, enables San Marzano to produce wines with distinctive varietal characteristics that reflect the essence of the local terroir.

In keeping with this philosophy, San Marzano has played a central role in enhancing the value and profile of the native Primitivo grape, producing world-class wines and icon labels such as Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria DOP.
