Vinicola Arno was started by Mara and Michael Arno in 2017, who decided to return to their Italian and Portuguese roots with a strong desire to produce exceptional wines. Four years later, they have built a strong viticultural program and are now producing a variety of outstanding wines. The land has been producing wine grapes for over 200 years. They invested in the vineyards with a strong core focus on the specialty Nizza DOCG (only 18 communes in the Asti Region of Piemonte are part of the designated Nizza area), and have a strong commitment to environmentally sustainable practices. It is a small farm, in transition. Vinicola Arno wines have received high recognition from several international wine publications, including recent awards: Decanter World Wine Awards 2020 and 2021; International Wine Challenge in 2020 and 2021; a silver medal at the Concours Mondial Bruxelles in 2021; a three ratings in Gambero Rosso Vini d’Italia 2022 including 2 Bicchieri (Rossi) for our 2018 Nizza Lorella. Vinicola Arno produces Barbera D'Asti DOCG, Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore, Nizza DOCG and a White blend of Nascetta and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
