Don Cristobal is a family-owned winery that started its activities in 1998 with the commitment to produce quality wines with personality. It began the production of wines with the 2001 harvest and entered that same year in the world wine market with its brand Cristobal 1492 "Wines of the New World for the Entire World".
Don Cristobal owns a total of 147 hectares of planted vineyards, in the main terroirs located in the surroundings of the city of Mendoza.
The winery was built in 2008 and is located in El Remanso vineyard (Ugarteche, Lujan de Cuyo) on the emblematic Route #40. The cellar has a capacity of 2,200,000 liters, including epoxy-coated concrete tanks, stainless steel tanks, and American and French oak barrels. The bottling process is carried out in the winery with an automated bottling line.
Don Cristobal is committed to high-quality standards in the vineyards and the winery and is accredited with the following certifications:
- HACCP
- Winegrowing Sustainability Protocol
-Vegan certification for all the wines
Since 2020 all the vineyards are transitioning to organic and the 1st vintage of wine made from organic-certified grapes is expected to be released in 2020.
