Koni Wines was established by Koni Maliehe in 2015. Born in Johannesburg, Soweto, raised in Sterkspruit, Eastern Cape by her loving grandparents now reside in the Western Cape.
Koni, worked herself up in her career of the being bank teller to senior roles. She held two senior management roles as head of HR and head of Training in the insurance sector,. She resigned to ventur being an entrepreneur in wine.
Curious about diversity in the wine industry she started her own brand, sourcing quality wines suitable for her targeted market. A self- funded business that depended on support from family and friends generally.
Through hard work and resilience she is now a recognized business woman in the wine industry and exporting wines to countries like Germany.
The brand is also featured on Hollard Big Ads for Small Business campaign, a well known insurance company in south africa. Many more articles were written about this growing brand.
