This is where our vines have their roots. In the land in which Luigi Ruggieri, in 1959, brought together a group of winegrowers to promote and enhance local production using modern winemaking techniques.
Cantine Lizzano is one of the first examples of a short supply chain, awarded with the recognition of DOC, Checked Designation of origin.
Today the cooperative is one of largest and most modern in the South Italy, with 400 winegrowing members and 500 hectares of vineyards, including native varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia e Moscato, and international varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot e Cabernet.
