Vieil Armand Wine Estate is an Alsatian and human-size winery only owned by 80 winegrowers families with 150 hectares of vines. The majority of them are still cultivating family vineyard for more than 4 generations!
The name of our winery was naturally given due to our special location : on the hillsides of one of the most famous Vosges summit called the "Hartmannswillerkopf" (in German). It was one of the most important battlefields in Alsace during the First World War. Facing these tragic events, our winegrowers chose to associate themselves to take up the challenge of rebuilding their vineyards.
In 2019, Vieil Armand Wine Estate obtained the High Environmental Value level 3 label and in 2021 became Organic Agriculture (FR-BIO-01). This conversion to Organic Agriculture began more than 7 years ago, with some of our convinced and passionated winegrowers.
