Blount Boats has been building high quality, innovative shallow draft designs for 72 years. Blount's designs have created new industries such as dinner boats and mini-cruise vessels and also improved efficiency in the fishing and oil and gas industry. In May 2020, the 101-foot vehicular/passenger ferry M/V Southern Cross was delivered to South Ferry, Inc. Shelter Island, NY. In August 2020, the 56-foot twin-screw tug, Breaker II was delivered to the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant, operated by New York Power Authority, the largest state power organization. In January 2021, the 65-foot crew transfer vessel, Atlantic Endeavor built for Atlantic Wind Transfers was delivered to the Dominion Energy Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm to support two Siemens Gamesa turbines. Currently under construction is a 90-foot Ice Breaker/Buoy Tender for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for May 2022.
Blount Boats can build all designs of crew transfer vessels (CTV's) needed for the growing offshore wind industry.
