For a quarter-century, Compass Water Solutions (CWS) has been a leader for environmental and operational excellence, in water treatment, separation, and filtration solutions. Our expertise creates solutions to help you and your projects. CWS maximizes productivity and profitability. It enables environmental compliance with marine, offshore, and industrial solutions, in oily water separators, reverse osmosis (RO) water generation systems, and filtration/separation components.

The Compass Aqua-Sep Watermaker yields higher water recovery, utilizing fewer man-hours and a small footprint.

The Compass Ultra-Sep Oily Water Separator with SPIR-O-LATOR Membrane Technology leads the industry with guaranteed discharge, less than 5 ppm oil content.

The Compass CRP-SEP Oily Water Separators are a progressive single-stage, horizontal separator designed to efficiently remove nonsoluble oils, solids, and entrained air from PRODUCED WATER and SLOP WATER with capacities up to 100 m3/h (440 gpm).

  • Oily Water Separators
Superior separation of emulsions with SPIR-O-LATOR Membrane Technology. The Positive Physical Barrier to oil reduces the risk of accidental overboard discharge...

  • The Compass Ultra-Sep Oily Water Separator is a two-stage system:

1st Stage:  The first stage efficiently removes free oil, by using our Compass Heli-Sep coalescing matrix separator. This process is familiar to ship operators worldwide, being that there are more than 20,000 units, in service, around the world.

2nd Stage:  The second stage, SPIR-O-LATOR technology, provides a positive, physical barrier to break emulsions and provide continuous less than 5ppm discharge.  With proper setup and maintenance, oil cannot penetrate the SPIR-O-LATOR®; therefore, no oil will ever spill when using SPIR-O-LATOR correctly.

    Options:
    - 5 PPM calibrated monitor
    - In-line heaters
    - Duplex filtration pre-treatment skids

  • CRP-SEP Series Oily Water Separators are a progressive single-stage, horizontal separator designed to efficiently remove nonsoluble oils, solids, and entrained air from PRODUCED WATER and SLOP WATER with capacities up to 100 m3/h (440 gpm). CRP-SEP delivers effluent with less than 15 ppm of oil. When environmental regulations require less than 5 ppm discharge, SPIR-O-LATOR Membranes can be added as a second phase to guarantee less than 5 ppm of oil.

  • DNV GL class programme DNVGL-CP-0208 – Type approval – ppm bilge water separators

The 5 ppm Bilge Water Separation System Type ‘ULTRA-SEP’ is intended for installation onboard ships or other marine units to reduce the oil content in bilge water to less than 5 ppm. The equipment is designed and tested to meet the requirements of DNVGL-CP-0208. The ‘ULTRA-SEP’ system uses a duel stage separation process: i) incoming bilge water passes through a ‘HELI-SEP’ unit consisting of coalescers and a polishing pack, ii) the feed pump then pressurizes the partly treated bilge water for processing through a process filter. Then, the pressure and flow rate are adjusted by the process pump which drives the partly treated water into the ‘SPIR-O-LATOR’ membrane units at high velocity. The output is processed water with oil content less than 5ppm. The waste oil from the ‘HELI-SEP’ unit is held in an oil separation chamber which is discharged occasionally through an oil discharge line. The concentrate with rejected oils and waste from the ‘SPIRO-LATER’ units is recirculated back to the inlet of the process filter for reprocessing. A small proportion of this recirculate is continuously bled off to the bilge/bilge water holding tank.

Product(s) approved by this certificate is/are accepted for installation on all vessels classed
    by DNV GL.
