  • The Rescue Basket is a stable and effective power-assisted rescue basket with a 30+ years track record. Ideal for mass rescue situations.

It is a solid aluminium construction with soft padding. A large float attached to the mast to prevent capsizing and with net covered sides for safety. Whilst in the water, this maritime rescue system will have a low floating position, assisting people to easily get inside. The attached fenders will rotate and therefore further contribute to an easy “float-in” access from the sea. The fenders also provide protection when hauled against the ship side during recovery. The lifting mast folds down for storage, and it comes shipped in two halves to lower shipping costs.

The Dacon Rescue Basket is available in three different sizes. RSB-300 for 8 persons, RSB-250 for 6 persons, and RSB-200 for 8 persons.

The basket meets the requirements by UKOOA, NMD and various classification societies for use onboard Standby Vessels.

  • High- quality rescue training dummy for realistic scenarios

The Dacon Rescue Dummy is probably the best and most realistic training dummy developed for water rescue training.

A key factor when undergoing training is to create a scenario that is as realistic as possible, this also means using a dummy that is similar to a person.
I.e. using a dummy that weights 10 kg will not provide the correct insight and skills needed in a rescue situation. To make things worse, it can even give the false belief that one possesses both the skills and the equipment needed.

Our history as a safety and first aid course leader, led us to developing a training dummy for real life scenarios. The Dacon Rescue Dummy resembles a person`s weight, height and also limb movements.

The training dummy is now in use on ships and in training centres, fire departments, police, diver training and many others all over the world.

The rescue manikin or dummy can be provided with a yellow (standard) or grey (for advanced SAR) PVC coverall.

    Key features:

    • Realistic height (1,9 m) and weight (up to 85 kg)
    • Realistic joints, with restricted limb movements like human`s
    • Extremely rugged – it survives a drop from a platform`s helicopter deck and other rough usage
    • Horizontal and vertical floating position
    • Also available with a negative buoyancy for underwater SAR training
    • Drainable training manikin for lighter weight during i.e. transport or storage
    • Low transportation weight and dimensions (22 kgs, 89x67x33 cm)
  • Dacon Rescue Scoop
Power- assisted method of recovery directly onboard larger rescue vessels...

  • Our Dacon Rescue Scoop is developed for larger rescue vessels and meet relevant class and flag requirements for use on Standby Vessels.
It is a power-assisted method of recovery operated by a standard deck crane.

The Scoop is a semi-rigid, maneuverable rescue net used to recover distressed persons from the water when weather or other factors make it difficult or too risky to launch a rescue craft.
The Dacon Rescue Scoop will successfully recover a person from the water, without putting other crew at risk.

This crane operated rescue system requires no interaction from the casualty. Therefore, it is fully capable of rescuing severely injured or even unconscious persons.

The casualty will be retrieved in a horizontal position with full body support to avoid further or aggravation of injuries.

There are various Scoop models to fit vessels of all types and sizes, i.e., Standby- and Supply vessels in the offshore industry, Pilot vessels, SAR, Coast Guard cutters and many others.
We have supplied the Dacon Rescue Scoop through almost 40 years, and they are now in use all over the world.

All our rescue Scoops are customized by our specialized team to ensure the best possible model and solution is in place.

  • An effective manual rescue net for gentle horizontal recovery

Horizontal recovery – why it matters

The Dacon Rescue Frame is a manual rescue net used on rescue crafts for gentle and effective recovery of exhausted, seriously injured or even unconscious persons from the water.

The rescue net enables a man overboard recovery in a horizontal position, it is quick and easy to handle for rescue personnel. A horizontal position is a key feature as it ensures full body support. This support might be decisive in reducing the possibility of shock and aggravation of injuries associated with the recovery of hypothermic- and seriously injured casualties.

It is often underestimated how difficult and heavy it is to get a person out of the water. Just a few kilos or little height can make it impossible to get a person back on board. In addition, you often have influencing factors such as injuries, sea, weather, and temperature.
Using a Dacon Rescue Frame that is attached to the rescue craft`s railing, reduces half the weight of the person in distress, and saves valuable time in a critical situation.

Upon storage, the rescue requires minimum of space and will not hinder passage, even on smaller rescue crafts.

The man overboard recovery system is very intuitive to use and requires only a brief introduction. The rescue cradle can also be used as a climbing net for persons that are able to climb onboard.

The Dacon Rescue Frame is provided in a standard red/white edition for rescue craft as well as an
all-black edition for navy, coast guard and police authorities etc.

DNV TEC certified and is compliant with Solas Reg. 111/17-1 & Subchapter M requirement §140.425 Fall overboard prevention (a).

People who have been in the water, the injured and the incapable, should be recovered as horizontal as possible.

When a casualty has been in the water, the body will after a while, contain both warm blood and very cold blood. Their heart has a decreased ability to work harder when it needs to, and the  veins and nervous systems have been temporarily altered in such a way that they may be very close to a significant heart malfunction.

People in the water are fragile – and must be treated carefully. Therefore, the recovery should be as horizontal as possible to avoid aggravation of injuries.

  • A stable and easy to climb rescue net

The Dacon Scrambling Net is a man overboard recovery equipment, being used on Standby and Rescue vessels all over the world. The rescue net enables persons in distress to climb to safety.

Compared to other more traditional rope nets, the scrambling net provides a more stable, non-slip climbing and grip surface. The rigid rungs combined with heavy- duty webbing makes the climbing net significantly easier to climb, as the shape will stay the same and not «collapse» when climbing it.

The rigid rope net is of extremely robust design and with a very low total lifecycle cost, which makes this type of man overboard recovery equipment ideal for its users. Distance wheels provide distance to the ship side for an easy grip and foot hold. Internal weight in the bottom rung provides stability in the water for easy entry. As an additional feature, the Dacon Scrambling Net can be provided with hauling lines for active recovery of casualties that are unable to climb to safety.

The climbing net can be delivered with an optional fold-over installation frame to make installation of the man overboard recovery equipment even easier and provides a 0,25 m distance between the rigid rope net and the ship side.

The Dacon Scrambling Net can be provided in an all-black design for Navy vessels.

    Key features:

    • Rigid, non-slip climbing and grip surface
    • Optional fold-over frame
    • DNV TEC Certified
    • 5 year guarantee
