We are changemakers and problem solvers with more than 20 years of experience, and we believe that no lives or assets should be lost due to structural failure.

Today we are the world-leading provider of fiber optic hull stress and other structure monitoring systems. Our fiber optic systems offer excellent reliability and unique data quality.

We design, engineer, and make unique solutions for every customer, from exposed and open seas to global forces. We are a global company with a local presence.

 Products

  • Ice Load Monitoring System
SENSFIB ICE is the world's leading technology within ice load monitoring.
SENSFIB ICE measures the actual real time ice load on the hull and sends data to the bridge helping the navigator in making correct decisions. Please see below link for more details.

    ...
  • SENSFIB Comfort
SENSFIB COMFORT is a solution in making transits as comfortable as possible by measuring the motions and accelerations the crew experiences at different locations in the vessel, while calculating the risk of increased crew fatigue and discomfort....
  • Hull Stress Monitoring system
Safe and cost-effective operation of a vessel requires exact knowledge of the ships design and awareness of the operational risks and their consequences. Our Hull Stress Monitoring system can help you combat this. Please see link below for more details.

    ...

  • With over 800 systems delivered worldwide, SENSFIB™ is proven to enhance vessel safety and increase operational efficiency by providing real-time feedback on hull stress conditions. Advanced algorithms enable hull stress and fatigue calculations to be predicted into the future, giving advance warning of adverse conditions. Fatigue life calculations can be used to support vessel life extension decisions.

The Hull Stress Monitoring system provides instant access to a vessel’s hull stress status, whether derived from dynamic wave action or induced stresses from cargo operations. Course, speed, and metocean information can also be integrated to increase safety, operational efficiency, and fuel savings.

Our Hull Stress Monitoring system can be tailor-made to suit the client's specifications and can easily be expanded in the future to comply with new demands, rules, and regulations. We also provide installation support, annual service, calibration services, and training of personnel as required.

  • Integrated Marine Monitoring System
The SENSFIB Integrated Marine Monitoring System™ combines a number of different monitoring solutions in a single package. Please see below link for more details....
  • Active Fatigue Management
Light Structures offers services in data management onshore to help the maintenance planners and other onshore personnel manage the assets in the best way. Reports, which summarize the hull condition, are available based on data from the HSM system.
