Onboard Response, LLC provides vessels carrying crude or fuel oils a way to proactively manage their pollution risk. Our OB-1 unit is a patented single-point inflatable oil containment system that inflates a boom as it comes off of a reel. 

Accidental spills will happen and 80% of spills are under 2,500 gallons. Our OB-1 unit has a small footprint and is designed to be stored onboard a vessel and used in the event of a spill.  Think of it being similar to having a portable fire extinguisher onboard but used for oil spills. It allows one person to rapidly deploy as much as 500ft of offshore boom in less than 25 minutes to stop the spread. 

We don’t replace the OSRO. You will still need to call them out, but on average it may take 2-10 hours for them to arrive. During that time the oil will rapidly spread. We provide an operator an option to deploy rapid containment and keep what should be a small spill from becoming a famous one.
