Thrustmaster’s portable dynamic positioning systems are available
for ships and barges from 100 to 600 ft (30 to 180 m) in length.

The system allows for quick dockside conversion of any work barge
or ship to a dynamically positioned vessel per DPS-0 to DPS-3
requirements of any classification society. The azimuthing thrusters
provide unprecedented slow speed maneuverability because of their
ability to steer the propeller in any direction and their infinite
propeller speed control.
Ideal for upgrading derrick barges, pipelay vessels, cable lay
barges, accommodation vessels, FPSO’s, heavy lift vessels, and
more.

The rugged hydrostatic drive provides fully proportional propeller
speed control in forward and reverse while the engine runs at a
constant speed reducing fatigue and increasing engine life.

Thrustmaster's line of electric podded azimuthing thrusters include a permanent magnet motor in a streamline pod housing directly behind the propeller providing responsive, efficient, low vibration, and durable propulsion to diesel electric and all electric vessel applications.

Through the location of our integral permanent magnet motor  in a sealed pod housing behind the propeller in the water, this solution frees up valuable space in the vessel, eliminates the heat generated by the electric motor from the vessel, and removes noise and vibration caused by traditional geared thrusters creating a quieter ride for the crew.

Thrustmaster's PM electric podded azimuthing thrusters may be configured for traditional thru-hull mount, outboard swing up configuration, or thru-hull retractable configuration.  

Thrustmaster tunnel thrusters use fixed pitch propellers driven by electric motors or hydraulic motors at variable RPM in both directions of rotation, providing infinitely proportional thrust in the athwartship direction. They are often used with dynamic positioning systems for station keeping offshore and have proven themselves in some of the most demanding environments and operations.

They are designed for continuous duty operation in commercial and military vessel applications. Thrustmaster tunnel thrusters are of exceptionally robust design. All components in contact with seawater are constructed of marine grade aluminum or carbon steel, bronze or 316 series stainless steel to insure longevity and prevent galvanic corrosion.
