Engineers in Vibration and Shock Control. Founded in 1914, we are one of the first companies in the world to specialize in structure borne noise control and are routinely at the leading edge of design providing ground breaking installations with world class performance. Expertise and practical experience is brought to each new project and has made us a leading manufacturer of performance based engineered solutions for vibration, structure borne noise and shock control. Using our proprietary CRMS software, we perform complex calculations analyzing 6 degrees of freedom and select components designed for your exact requirements. Each isolator, built from high quality standardized modular parts is designed to provide economy, reliability, high performance and long service life. If you can define the problem whether Marine, Offshore, Industrial or Mobile, we can help you find the best possible solution. Reliable, Efficient and Cost Effective Vibration and Shock control is our only business.

 Products

  • Christie & Grey TSC Isolators
TSC unit isolators provide value based on long lasting, reliable, highly efficient isolation, reduced creep rates and low initial displacement. Type approval by DNV, ABS and general type approval has been given by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping....

  • A major advance in design has successfully combined the best characteristics of steel springs and rubber springs to produce an efficient, compact and economical range of unit isolators suitable for many types of applications. Many variants of these isolators, designed and manufactured by us have now been in service for more than twenty years. TSC unit isolators are highly effective in reducing the transmission of vibration, structure-borne noise and shock from a wide range of rotating and reciprocating machinery and in protecting sensitive apparatus from external disturbances. They are particularly suitable for marine and mobile applications as internal snubbers are incorporated to control movement of the isolated machine. Type approval by ABS and Det Norske Veritas and general type approval has been given by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping.

  • Christie & Grey CRM Isolator System
Designed specifically for use in high ambient temperature conditions for the control of vibration throughout the audible frequency range. A captive rubber mounting for supporting, hanging, anchoring of exhaust systems on board ship....

  • Designed specifically for use in high ambient temperature conditions for the control of vibration throughout the audible frequency range. A captive rubber mounting for supporting, hanging, anchoring of exhaust systems on board ship.

CRM System elements Tested at 40°C ambient with eyebolt at 400°C (300 mm drop rod and turnbuckle fitted) resulted in only 2°C temperature rise at inner rubber surface.

    • Rubber insert is molded in five variants 35, 45, 55, 65 and 70 IRHD (International Rubber Hardness).
    • Rubber insert provides excellent high frequency attenuation performance.
    • Unit remains captive and fail-safe whether used as a supporting mount or hanger.
    • CRM’s can be bolted to the structure with 2 x M12 bolts or supplied fitted with a sole plate to permit fixing by welding.
    • Optional heat insulation pad can be provided
    • High transverse/axial stiffness ratio ideal for use as a ‘flexible anchor’.
    • Capable of 15° angular misalignment.

  • Christie & Grey Shock Mounts Type PD
Type PD - One of a range of rubber shock and vibration mountings available from the Ministry of Defense Ship's Department BR.3021 Shock Manual....

  • Features

    • A PD mount's athwartship stiffness is about 0.95 times the vertical stiffness in its normal orientation.
    • The longitudinal stiffness is about 0.18 times the vertical stiffness.
    • The rubber in a PD mount is protected by a flexible sealing paint.
    • Metal parts are painted with low sheen black paint.
    • PD mounts are the straight rubber developments of the circular type L mountings.
    • The mounts will only achieve their full shock alleviation when they are functioning within their designed working ranges.
  • Christie & Grey Genflex
Genflex mountings employ the well proven inclined rubber element design to achieve much higher deflections compared to simple rubber in compression devices and therefore superior isolation of low frequency vibration....

  • Genflex mountings employ the well proven inclined rubber element design to achieve much higher deflections compared to simple rubber in compression devices and therefore superior isolation of low frequency vibration.

The pure rubber design offers excellent performance in the audible frequency range.

Natural rubber also offers inherent damping to control transient motion resulting from machine start up, run down and fault conditions.

For marine and mobile applications, a combined overload and rebound buffer is available in both medium and high deflection variants.
