  • Laser Photonics Corporation (NASDAQ: LASE), a leading global developer of CleanTech laser systems for laser cleaning and other material applications, recently introduced the “Marlin(Marine Application Rust Laser Inhibitor)Marina/boatyard operators and ship owners are now able to clean corrosion in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner thanks to this cutting-edge product.

The MARLIN LPC-100M-MHS is an air-cooled pulse laser system, perfect for small craft marine vessel application. Its portable design lends itself to laser cleaning and surface treatment for small areas requiring delicate cleaning, de-painting, and other surface preparation operations. Most small craft marine vessels are in need of corrosion control from saltwater and sea spray in areas like frame weldments and joints that deteriorate over time. The Marlin product line offers a 100W laser blaster capable of addressing most corrosion conditions for this type of application.

Being the Marlin is designed to be completely portable, it is easy to perform surface treatment of on your boat requiring delicate cleaning, coating removal, rust & corrosion removal, and other surface preparation operations. The Marlin product line offers various systems with multiple power levels to match the specific needs on your vessel.

The Marlin laser system offers a non-abrasive cleaning process that is safer and easier to use than traditional abrasive cleaning methods. Another benefit of the Marlin is that it eliminates the need for chemicals or other consumables while complying with regulations from organizations like CDRH, OSHA, and EPA.
