Mecc Alte manufacture the world’s largest range of low voltage alternators 1-5,000 kVA via our ‘made for manufacturing’ product design in Italy, the UK, China and India. Each facility is concentrated on the production of world-class alternators, with complete manufacturing in Mecc Alte SpA and Mecc Alte Power Products in Italy (1 – 5,000kVA), Mecc Alte UK in Great Britain (1 – 3,000kVA), Mecc Alte Haimen in China (7.5 – 3,000kVA) and Mecc Alte India in Pune India (6.5 – 750kVA). The network of factories is additionally supported by wholly-owned subsidiaries based in Australia, France, Germany, Singapore, Spain and the USA who specialise locally in the sales, distribution and aftersales for all Mecc Alte’s alternator solutions. This global support ensures that our customers get the assistance they need… wherever they are.

As power generation becomes more complex, the discussions on power become much more about complete solutions rather than just individual products. In response, Mecc Alte has recognised the growing need to offer single-source supply to present versatile solutions for OEMs. That is why we are now offering genset controllers with a 5-year global warranty and battery chargers to be used in conjunction with our world class alternators.

In addition to a very broad ‘standard’ product range, we can also meet specific customer requirements for a wide variety of specialised alternator products, which include 400Hz, water-cooled, DC, variable speed, totally enclosed, wind power and DC telecom systems.

    • The V-Type has undergone rigorous testing which has resulted in our most resilient product ever; a product that is designed to enable reliable power generation when faced with forces of nature. This newest addition to our range offers superior durability features as standard to deliver extended uptime.

    Product enhancements:
    • V-Type TOTAL+ is an exclusive winding treatment with a specification that’s designed to be more resilient, on top of the VPI impregnation.
    • Reinforced tape around lower radius of the stator, an external covering for reinforced production on NDE winding head base
    • Excitor stator, taped and VTP treatment
    • 30,000 premium bearing hours, for increased reliability
    • Lower lamination slats reinforced with TOTAL+ insulation protection
    • MAVR, to protect its USP and interlink the controllers

    • Heavy demand and high-performance in absolute harmony. Medium and high-voltage alternators with class-leading durability and efficiency to ensure consistent power delivery without issue. Backed by our 4-year limited warranty, peace-of-mind comes as standard.

    The focus is on medium and high voltage alternators for power generation and, in addition, produce synchronous, PMG or asynchronous generators for hydropower applications.

  • Controllers
    The range includes Gen-Set, Parallel and ATS products along with market leading Hybrid
    controllers. The range is also supported with spares and communication accessories, including those for 5G networks....

    Our controllers give you 360°control to cover all applications - from single set standby, through paralleling systems, right up to microgrid controllers with embedded renewables. Our range of digital gen-set controllers work in synergy with all our alternator products.

    Designed and built in Europe, the controllers provide easy integration and robust technical control to ensure that OEMs can quickly adapt to new market dynamics.

    • A Permanent Magnet Generator allows considerable benefits. Physical benefits with reductions in weight and length, coupled with electronic benefits, ensure a superior technology devised to maximise efficiency of the complete power system.

    Our Permanent Magnet Generator has an inbuilt EMC filter which works in a system with a single-phase inverter. Harmonic Distortion is very low at <2% giving superior waveform, meaning that our low rpm permanent magnet generators help you guarantee the safe operation of modern sensitive electronic equipment.

    When using our low rpm PMG generators, power density is increased using inverter technology, where the traditional excitation winding systems are replaced and the stator is central with an external rotor. This maximises the potential of the magnets used.

  • Portable and LT3N
    Designed for versatility, easy installation and maintenance, our portable alternators are available
    with a 50 or 60Hz frequency, with 2 poles ranging from 1–18kVA.
