Thoma-Sea Marine Constructors is a family-owned full-service shipyard with 3 Gulf Coast locations in Lockport and Houma, Louisiana. Our facilities included two new construction yards and one repair yard. Thoma-Sea’s experienced, dedicated professionals use a common sense approach to quality shipbuilding and repair. Thoma-Sea’s broad range of experience includes Offshore Towing vessels up to 11,000 horsepower. Ship Escort Z Drive Tugs; ATB Tugs; Mini Supply Vessels; DP 2 Diesel Electric Platform Supply Vessels; Research Vessels; Inland Push Boats and Commercial Fishing Vessels. Currently under construction are Two vessels for NOAA, two ferries for the state of Louisana, a mat-laying barge for the USACE, and a trash-collecting catamaran for the USACE.  Recent deliveries Include a Konsberg Designed Factory Trawler Processor for The American Fishing Market, one inland towing vessel, 2 Barges for the Army Corps of Engineers, and the Kelly Island Ferry in Ohio.  Thoma-Sea’s repair facilities currently have four dry docks in operation. Thoma-Sea's repair division recently completed a first-of-its-kind supply boat conversion for Hornbeck Offshore. Our capacities range from 3500 tons to 10600 tons. Our docks are certified for use by USCG, Army Corp of Engineers, and NASA. Recent Improvements to our Facilities include a new hull erection site and 800 feet of bulkhead.
