Vectis’ next-gen RoverTM deployment method offers a rugged & flexible means of bringing the industry-proven Vectis Cobot Welding & Cutting Tools to large workpieces. Built on a heavy-duty all-terrain cart, the RoverTM is designed with portability in mind for heavy-industry fab shops. The cobot’s compact skid can be undocked from the full cart via forklift or crane, and placed onto large parts to perform long, boring weld joints. This deployment option is available to be integrated with a wide array of leading power sources, torch options, and Vectis’ existing welding feature toolbox like ArcPilotTM through-the-arc seam tracking, Touch Sensing, and MultiPass offset welding. The RoverTM seeks to unlock new automation possibilities for fabricators in heavy industry – think of it as a “mag drill for welding” where an operator can bring a tool to a workpiece and have the tool perform boring, dexterous tasks for hours on end. Come see it in Booth 1918 (Vectis Automation) at the WorkBoat show!
