  • EVO Explosion Relief Valve
The Explosion Relief Valve EVO protects against oil mist or gas explosions in engine crankcases. It opens during explosions, directing vented gases through a flame arrester to prevent flame spread....

  • The Explosion Relief Valve EVO is a reusable, flameless venting device that is designed for the protection of personnel and equipment in case of oil mist or gas explosions in the crankcase of gas, diesel, or dual-fuel engines.  In the event of an explosion, the venting device opens by lifting the valve plate and directing the vented explosion through the flame arrester, preventing flames from being expelled to the surrounding areas. The relief valve type EVO is equipped with a conical spring; the valve plate closes and resets immediately after the pressure event.

    Features

    • ATEX and IACS certification
    • Optimum protection for personnel and equipment
    • Flameless explosion pressure relief
    • No shut-down required after an explosion/back-fire Application
    • Flexibility due to variable installation position
    • All valves are functionally tested when built

Explosions can occur in the crankcase of combustion engines, large compressors, gearboxes, and transmissions. Internal components of these devices cause the oil to form a cloud or mist throughout the confined spaces. In the case of gas-burning or dual-fuel engines, gas can also escape into the crankcase or other confined spaces of these applications, creating a dangerous environment for explosions. Relief valves are a proven way to mitigate equipment damage from overpressure and flame and prevent injury to personnel.

  • EVM Explosion Relief Valves
HOERBIGER Relief valve series EVM is a reusable, flameless venting device, protecting personnel and equipment. The reclosing function of the relief valve ensures an immediate closing after activation....

  • General Description The Explosion Relief Valve EVM is a reusable, f lameless venting device, which is designed for the protection of personnel and equipment in case of gas explosions, engine “misfire” or “backf ire.” In the event of an explosion, the venting device opens by lifting the valve plate, and directs the vented explosion through the flame arrester, preventing flames from being expelled to the surrounding areas. With the support of special designed coil springs, the valve plate closes and resets immediately  after  the  pressure  relief.

    Key Features

    • Certified according international standards
    • Flameless explosion presssure relief.
    • Re-closing: The fast re- closing function mitigates a secondary explosion caused by fresh air-in rush and gas leakage into the environment.
    • Re-useable: No shut down required after an activation.
    • Flexibility due to varible installation position.

Application Explosions can occur in the exhaust systems of combustion engines as well as in the downstream piping system, when low flash point fuels are used. The combination of engine misfire or backfire prevention and the use of relief valves is a proven way to mitigate equipment damage from overpressure and flame, and prevent injury to personnel.

  • GE-HT Vents
The HOERBIGER vent panel series GE-HT is a single use venting device protecting personnel and equipment. The GE-HT type has been developed especially for the protection of exhaust systems considering the harsh operating conditions....

  • General Description
The multilayer GE-HT high-temperature explosion vent is expertly designed to protect both personnel and equipment from explosions caused by engine “misfire” or “backfire”. Engineered with precision, the HOERBIGER vent panel ensures swift, non-fragmenting deployment along with exceptional pressure relief efficiency during such events.

Additionally, HOERBIGER’S innovative design engineering, mitigates the potential of vent panel damage or even failure, due to cycling of operating pressures and vibration.

    Key Features

    • Certified according international standards
    • Excellent heat insulation capabilities
    • High pressure relief efficiency
    • Non-fragmenting opening
    • Flange alignment independent
    • Interchangeable with existing circular explosion vents
    • Resilient to vibrations and/or pulsations

    Application

Explosions can occur in the exhaust systems of combustion engines, as well as in the downstream piping system, when low flash point fuels are used. The combination of engine misfire or backfire prevention and the use of explosion vents is a proven way to mitigate equipment damage from overpressure, and help prevent injury to personnel.

  • EVT Explosion Relief Valves
HOERBIGER Manifold Relief valves are a reusable, flameless venting device, protecting personnel and equipment. The HOERBIGER valve series “EVT” protect both, the engine inlet manifold and the engine exhaust manifold in case of back- or mis-fire....

  • The Explosion Relief Valve EVT is a reusable, f lameless venting device, which is designed for the protection of personnel and equipment in case of gas explosions, engine “misfire” or “back-fire.” In the event of an explosion, the venting device opens by lifting the valve plate, and directs the vented explosion through the f lame arrester, preventing flames from being expelled to the surrounding areas. With the support of special designed disc springs, the valve plate closes and resets immediately  after  the  pressure  relief.
