With a team of naval architects, maritime and automation engineers Dutch based AutoMooring Solutions (AMS) develops solutions to enhance mooring processes and to enabling all-weather mooring operations. Suitable for (crane) barges, pushers, tugboats and other marine applications AMS delivers custom made ropeless and fenderless Ship-to-Ship (STS) mooring systems, amongst them with vacuum.
The unique system STS-system, nominated for the Dutch Maritime Innovation Award 2024, connects vessels with vacuum pads instead of conventional mooring lines. Because of a significant reduction of the mooring forces (>50%) against conventional mooring lines this system is able to moor efficient, safe and automated.
The Rope Picker Robot (RPR) is another advanced mooring system, enabling to moor and/or connect vessels to/on bollards by means of AI-controlled robotic arms. To take the human factor out of the mooring process this system increauses the safety to unparalleled level.
