In Latin America alone, nearly 400 hundred million lack connectivity, and only a few legacy providers manage most of the telecom sector, which is the main reason why so many are still disconnected today.
Wayru is a decentralized Internet Network built on Algorand, deployed, operated, and owned by the people. We democratize Internet access using proven technologies like fiber, wireless mesh, unlicensed spectrum, and blockchain.
Anyone can contribute to expanding the network from a single micro node to a node covering a whole community.
Wayru uses blockchain technology to tokenize the network, creating a sharing economy with the Wayru TOKEN at its core to reward everyone involved for their participation.
Wayru distributes rewards to Node Operators for network expansion, Stakers for securing and backing live nodes, and users for continuously connecting to the network.
