Darwin Bioprospecting Exellence S.L. (from hereon, DARWIN) is a Spanish SME, spin-off of the University of Valencia founded in 2016. DARWIN focuses on microbial bioprospecting, which is the search of microorganisms and their derivatives for industrial applications, such as health, cosmetics, biorremediation, food or agriculture. We provide R+D partnerships with SMEs, large companies and Universities/research organisations to develop disruptive microbial solutions and new products. We are a unique microbial bioprospecting company that is at the interface between culturomics and other cutting edge biotechnology tools, such as metagenomic mining, high-throughput screening models or multi-omic approaches.
