• Babbo lounge (Aug 21, 2018)

  Long hours of cozy conversation with MAMAGREEN’s newest high-end sectional lounge

  The most important trend for homes and commercial spaces alike is a return to informal, comfortable environments, where friends and family can enjoy a genuine sense of togetherness. Outdoor BABBO is not only perfect for nights spent around an open-air firepit. Semi-circular sofa sets are also in vogue for large outdoor spaces as diverse as gardens, rooftops and terraces.

  Comfort is essential to facilitating true rest and relaxation. MAMAGREEN signature 100% outdoor cushions and best-in-class outdoor materials allow absolute flexibility, whether the lounge is placed inside, in covered outdoor areas, or completely exposed to the elements. Well-padded, art deco style cushions are covered in famously water-repellent SunbrellaR textiles. Complete with sealed seams and zippers, any rain that still manages to penetrate quickly drains out (without the cushion being repositioned or moved), due to the reticulated quick-drying foam cores. The scratch-resistant, lightweight powder coated aluminum frame is securely upholstered in butter-soft, faux leather StamskinR on the outside, and textured LeisuretexR on the inside.
  
  Configuring a BABBO lounge set is as easy as one, two and three! Both left and right hand curved sectional pieces have generous, soft-cornered, built-in side tables, in your choice of irregular width, recycled teak slats, or sleek Italian HPL. Add the sectional curved middle piece in between, which may be doubled up for a really expansive, 4 piece/8 seater lounge configuration. Alternatively, add a pair of new STITCH collection swivel accent chairs, ready for any extra guests, and possibly a round coffee table from MAMAGREEN’s extensive selection.

  High-end cafes and restaurants worldwide feature MAMAGREEN classic, premium design dining tables. ZUPY collection introduces the next generation of innovative, all-weather dining sets; high-end yet commercially priced, restaurant-style, performance tables and matching chair.

  Organic, retro curved shapes are the collection highlight, adding both charm and an element of safety, especially ideal for bustling public environments. Matching tables are available for 4, 6 and 8 diners at a time, with the small and medium sizes including a 2” umbrella hole. The largest table has a central ‘butterfly’ extension mechanism that unfolds to accomodate additional guests in a just few moments.

  Gently curved on all sides and corners, ZUPY collection introduces perfectly smooth, wide planks of beautifully recycled teak. These chic, sophisticated tops are combined with angled, round powder coated aluminum legs for highly contemporary, easy-maintenance dining.
  
  MAMAGREEN design seating supports both indoor and outdoor dining experiences. ZUPY fully upholstered dining chair is one of the most comfortable in the brand collection. The curvaceous, wrap-around shape is complete with a built-in, padded and sealed cushion reminiscent of a snug, single seater sofa. The inside of the chair is lined with super-soft, waterproof Swiss faux leather StamskinR by Serge Ferrari, offered in a large range of neutrals and brights; spilled drinks simply wipe off. The outside of the chair is covered in all-weather, natural palette TwitchellTM Leisuretex or BatylineR Lounge. A scratch-resistant, lightweight aluminum powder coated frame completes this highly practical, chic dining chair.

  The collection highlight is the ‘accent chair’. These weighted wingback chairs have a combined back and armrest, requiring skilled precision-upholstering by hand. Weighted, rustproof, 360-degree German swivel function allows the user to enjoy conversation from all directions. Combined with matching collection low table and stool, they create an inviting, easygoing seating area that is also a luxurious design statement.

The matrix base is from 'dri􀀁-look' reclaimed teak, complimented by luxurious oversized water-repellant cushions and bolsters, and Italian 'high pressure laminate' accent for backs.

  MAMAGREEN is passionate about all aspects of design innovation. Furniture designs are developed conscientiously, incorporating majority recycled or recyclable materials, and built to last. Teak is an ancient hardwood, rich in natural oils which makes it highly desirable for durable outdoor furniture-but no rainforests are ever impacted by MAMAGREEN production. Only revitalized Cor controlled plantation) teak is carefully utilized for creative, sophisticated MAMAGREEN furniture designs.
  In 2018, MAMAGREEN has gone one step further. The focus is not just reclaiming and recycling teak wood, but now to upcycling. Nurturing and restoring every piece of reclaimed teak wood not only helps us reach our brand goal of zero waste.

  It also means that every 'drift-look' teak piece is absolutely individual, resembling driftwood found on the beach. In this way, both the natural and historical value of the teak is preserved, and full potential realized.
  MAMAGREEN 'drift-look' teak is initially sourced from abandoned buildings. Every plank is processed individually, showcasing both natural and handmade distress marks. This 'extra-distressed', perfectly recycled teak is then assembled (using traditional box joints) and finished, either 'as original', or in rich 'espresso'. The result is a highly contemporary, texture-rich piece of teak wood which we incorporate in our showcase AIKO collections for 2018. In AIKO LOUNGE, 'drift-look teak' forms the stunning matrix bases.

  AIKO LOUNGE has endless configuration options, for 2 to 20 people, and to match the required level of laziness and relaxation. The base is a generous 85 x 110 cm. It can be used in either deep-seating or comfort mode, and single modules easily connected with the lounger, ottomans and multifit corner table. Together with AIKO 1-seater, sofa, Lor U shape configurations are all possibilities.
  Collection highlight is possibly the AIKO lounger. Hidden wheels mean that this chaise-style piece is not only gorgeous as a stand-alone. It can also become half of a double daybed OR almost effortlessly added as a luxurious addition to any of the AIKO modular configurations. With so many options, AIKO LOUNGE collection is suitable for residential and hospitality alike, either inside, or outdoors.
