For Immediate Release
At BDNY 2018, newcomer Posh Textiles presents a series of designs by textile designer Scott Bodenner and illustrator Kathryn Rathke with a polished, yet understated take on luxury. Proposing a modern and sophisticated language for upholstery patterns used in hospitality, office and public spaces, individual pattern are executed on a hardworking nylon warp and are blended with knotty post-consumer recycled polyester yarns for textural effects and lustrous viscose fibers for highlights of reflectiveness. In combination, they juxtapose subtle luster and sparks of reflectivity and compose a family of complementary geometrics, calligraphic patterns, textures and solids that will maintain their visual appeal and appearance for years to come.
Posh Textiles is the American division of an Indian family-owned textile mill, in business for over 60 years. Since its inception, its manufacturing evolved from hand-woven silks to durable constructions produced in a modern, ISO 14001 certified factory in India with vast design capabilities. The factory provides a fair and sustainable income to employees and sustainability aspects are at the core of sourcing practices.
As mill owners, Posh Textiles is skilled to seamlessly execute design concepts from inception, but is equally able to customize, whether adaptations of standards or full custom developments. While the manufacturing resides in India, the company has been established in the United States for two generations. Customer Service is based in New York, and stock is held domestically, in a warehouse owned by Posh Textiles, with samples and yardage on hand for project needs.
