Columbia River Chapter (Portland and Columbia Gorge area) is the local Chapter of ASIS International. ASIS International is the leading professional organization for Security and Risk Management. Their Board Certifications are recognized internationally as the leading professional certifications for security experts. ASIS Standards and Guidelines for Safety, Security, and Risk Management are developed in coordination with other relevant specialists, and are recognized by ANSI, ISO, and the Safety Act under DHS. As the local Chapter, we strive to provide opportunities for security and risk management professionals to develop their knowledge, experience, and networking opportunities. We are also advocates for the use of industry best practices, and the integrity of the profession as a whole. Our chapter is also active in helping non-security industry professionals in becoming smart consumers of safety, security, and risk management services.
