Illinois Fire Service Institute
The Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) serves as the oldest continuous fire training institution in the United States. Since 1925, first responders from across the state and the world have relied on IFSI to deliver top quality training, education, and research.
IFSI offers hands-on training in the areas of firefighting, specialized technical rescue, hazardous materials, leadership and officer development, and NIMS. Each year, IFSI delivers training to nearly 60,000 first responders from all US states and 7 countries from across the world.
IFSI is accredited by the Pro Board and IFSAC international accreditation agencies. The dedicated instructional team can develop programs that are portable and customized to all skill levels, department types, or agency needs.
