SafeZone is an innovative industry leader in the safe construction and monitoring of pressurized welding enclosures. This patented process enables hot work to be performed in hazardous or classified areas without having to shut in nearby production equipment. BSEE regulation prohibits offshore operators from welding within 10 feet of pressurized process equipment or the perimeter of the well bay unless the platform is shut-in or a pressurized welding enclosure is used. SafeZone utilizes a PLC system that will control all atmospheric monitoring and welding equipment based on set parameters. The system is designed to initiate a full hot work component shut down any time a hazardous atmosphere is detected, pressure is lost, or ESD is activated.
