Beckmann Converting Featuring New Website at FiltXpo/IDEA2022 Show

Amsterdam, NY, Monday, March 21, 2022-- Beckmann Converting, Inc, the roll-to-roll toll laminator of textile composites specializing in ultrasonic bonding lamination, reports that its new company website launched in late 2021 is receiving strong reviews.  The new website may be accessed at www.beckmannconverting.com, which will be featured at the company’s exhibit at INDA FiltXpo and IDEA2022 conference and trade show in Miami Beach the week of March 28, 2022

“We are receiving tremendous feedback that our new website, with leaner presentation and more effective navigation flows, has become an important resource for current and prospective customers,” states Ray Piascik, Director of Sales and Marketing at Beckmann Converting.  “Of particular interest are two innovative modules called the “Buyer’s Journey” and the “Virtual Swatchbook”, created to give visitors direct access to critical information.”

A laminating program at Beckmann Converting could be driven by any one of three distinct groups of people in a customer’s organization, explains Piascik.  “The Buyer’s Journey provides three specially curated paths through the website relevant for New Product Leaders, Manufacturing Capacity Leaders, and Supply Chain Leaders”.

Visitors can also access a Virtual Swatchbook where descriptions and images of the selection of “roll patterns” available at Beckmann Converting for ultrasonic laminating can be viewed.  Recently, a new customer relayed that their advertising agency supporting design of their new branding and website, pointed to the Beckmann Converting website and the Virtual Swatchbook in particular as an example of an effective, contemporary design.

  • Amsterdam, NY, Monday, March 21, 2022-- Beckmann Converting, Inc, the roll-to-roll toll laminator of textile composites specializing in ultrasonic bonding lamination, will be equipped to intake Needs Assessments for laminating program opportunities at the company’s exhibit at INDA FiltXpo and IDEA2022 conference and trade show in Miami Beach the week of March 28, 2022

“A critical first step in building a winning lamination program is the intake of a thorough Needs Assessment detailing the customer’s opportunity, or challenge,” states Ray Piascik, Director of Sales and Marketing at Beckmann Converting.  “We will be fully equipped at our exhibit in this year’s FiltXpo and IDEA2022 event to do just that!”

Exhibit staff will utilize the Needs Assessment Form in the company’s new website to input information and data on an ultrasonic lamination program to be outsourced or a new product development project that lends itself to ultrasonic bonding.  Visitors are encouraged to bring as much detail with them as possible to the event.  “Our goal is to gather enough information on an active project to be able to perform an Initial Assessment and arrange to run Hand Trials as quickly as possible following the show,” reports Piascik.

The company’s website provides extensive information about their capabilities, and the process for launching a successful laminating program.  A good starting point can be found at the following link:  https://www.beckmannconverting.com/working-for-you/

  • Beckmann Converting, Inc. is a world leading toll laminator serving customers who make textile products for diverse industries and applications.

Utilizing ultrasonic bonding processes exclusively, we convert continuous, wide web, roll-to-roll customer owned technical materials into multiple layer high performance textile composites. Our customers rely upon Beckmann Converting to laminate their textile composite packages cost effectively and with consistent, test verified quality.

Through long term supply agreements, Beckmann Converting executes major high volume ultrasonic laminating programs for our customers. Our equipment is designed for efficient changeover to run lower volume specialty laminate programs as well.

There are many good reasons to outsource your ultrasonic laminating needs rather than doing it in-house.

Avoid the significant capital investment and ongoing maintenance costs.

An ultrasonic laminator is an expensive piece of equipment, and often is designed and dimensioned to laminate a specific product or limited family of products.  At Beckmann Converting, our machines are designed and built with the flexibility to handle a very wide range of textile laminating requirements.  This includes the ability to execute unique machine setups accurately and efficiently to switch between different products.

Avoid the growing talent investment required to operate ultrasonic laminating.

Ultrasonic laminating operations benefit from personnel with high levels of skills and experience working with ultrasonics.  With over 30 plus years of laminating under our belts, we have accumulated a unique body of knowledge about ultrasonic laminating and most textiles and materials that end up in laminates. Our production and quality control staff are highly trained to leverage this cumulative wisdom.

Ensure the highest quality textile laminates are available at the volumes your customers need.

100% of our focus and resources is on optimizing ultrasonic lamination processes to be able to produce your materials at the growing volumes you require. It is all that we do.  The quality and availability of textile laminates often are the critical components for end use products. When in-house laminating operations compete with other departments and processes for resources and attention, the result can be long term quality issues and limited availability of finished product to meet market demands.

These customers often report that finished product laminated at Beckmann Converting is of higher quality than what they can achieve in-house.

In most cases, Beckmann Converting handles all of a customer’s ultrasonic laminating for them.  This outsourcing strategy results in a customer benefitting from the lowest possible Total Cost for their ultrasonic laminating.  We also work with customers who choose to keep some volume of ultrasonic laminating “in-house” for various reasons.  When this is the case, it is often easier and faster for us to increase production volumes or support new product development than it would be through their own operations.

Maximize control over supply chain for critical laminate product components.

Since we operate as a Toll laminator, you retain complete control and ownership of your raw materials from start to finish.  This includes driving the specifications and verifying the quality of the raw materials which are critical to the performance of your product in their end use applications.  Most of our customers have third party vendors for their raw materials that drop ship them directly to our facility.  When we receive raw materials, we identify them right down to the individual roll number and the length of material on the roll.  We can provide this information to our customers when requested.  If you need samples from the shipment of materials for verification testing, we can provide those as necessary.  At their arrival and as we are processing your raw materials, we will alert you to any damage or noticeable change in quality that we observe.

Through long term supply agreements, Beckmann Converting executes major high volume ultrasonic laminating programs for our customers. Our equipment is designed for efficient changeover to run lower volume specialty laminate programs as well.

When it comes to our customer's new product development projects, we become the custodians of their laminating process.  Our goal is to work side by side with customer teams to optimize the ultrasonic laminating process for their specific product and ensure manufacturability once the product enters commercial phases.  We do this through hand trials, roll trials, testing and specifications development from early stages of a project.

Early in a project, product developers may be looking at alternate configurations of laminates using different materials for the various layers.  Beckmann Converting will run Hand Trials right on our production equipment and deliver small quantities of small samples to customers that they can use for evaluation.  When a textile composite is selected and bonding roll patterns are narrowed down, we will run one or more Roll Trials with longer yardage.  In addition to providing the customer with a volume of product for testing and customer evaluation, roll trials enable us to adjust various parameters to optimize the laminating process so that a starting point for production runs is established.  This experience also provides Beckmann Converting with the data necessary to provide pricing, minimum order quantities, and other critical information for the product program.

Depending upon a customer's needs, we often can move directly to production runs.  We will also support a customer's requirements for any qualifying pre-production runs that may be necessary in their industries and markets.

The mutual goal for Beckmann Converting and our customer is a commercially successful product program that delivers consistent quality that is test verified and production volumes that meet market demands.
