NatureWorks is an advanced materials company offering a broad portfolio of renewably sourced polymers and chemicals. With performance that competes with oil-based materials, naturally advanced Ingeo™ biomaterials are valued for their unique functional properties and used in products from tea bags and coffee pods to nonwovens, hygiene, and personal care applications. NatureWorks recently announced plans for a second Ingeo PLA manufacturing complex, scheduled for opening in 2024. The plant, located in Thailand, will have a capacity of 75,000MT/year and be the world’s first PLA facility designed to be fully integrated. NatureWorks is jointly owned by Cargill and PTT Global Chemical, Thailand’s largest ASEAN-leading integrated petrochemical and refining company.
