TSRC Opens New Global Research & Development Center in Houston, Texas, USA
Houston, Texas, USA – December 06, 2021 – TSRC, a global leader in styrenic block copolymer (SBC) and synthetic rubber (SR), today announces the commissioning of its new global Research & Development (R&D) center at TSRC Specialty Materials LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TSRC, located in Katy, west of Houston, Texas, USA.
The newly built global R&D center, TSRC’s second global R&D facility and first one outside Taiwan, is part of TSRC’s long term strategic plan to accelerate specialty polymer growth via expanded global footprint. Its proximity to customers in the US and EU, when combined with TSM’s regional commercial and production capabilities, augments the integrated product development and commercialization for specialty applications and customers.

TSRC’s global R&D center in the US will focus on specialty SBC development including fundamental polymer design, functionalization, manufacturing process, application development, and technical service. It also connects TSRC global application expertise to customers in the targeted market segments such as medical, hygiene, adhesives, films, construction, and elastic nonwovens.
