The Educational Partnership Foundation
The Educational Partnership Foundation (TEPF)’s Trades Careers Program is shaping Alberta’s future by building a safer, smarter, and more inclusive workforce. Designed for high school students and Indigenous and other underrepresented young adults, the program offers hands-on training, safety certifications, and mentorship from experienced professionals. Participants gain technical skills, high school credits (when applicable), and the confidence to thrive in high-demand trades through innovative pre-apprenticeship courses.
TEPF partners with school districts, First Nations, industry leaders, and training providers to ensure broad access and meaningful career pathways. Fully funded for participants by TEPF and their partner funders, the program also offers bursaries to support graduates throughout their apprenticeship journey. More than education, it empowers young Albertans to discover their calling and contribute to the province’s construction and industrial sectors in impactful ways. TEPF gratefully acknowledges the contributions of all funding partners, including our Trades Careers Founding Partner, the Building Trades of Alberta and the Government of Canada’s Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy.
Founded in 1991, The Educational Partnership Foundation is an Alberta-based registered charity empowering learners through Literacy and Skilled Trades programs. TEPF directly served over 97,000 children and youth in 2025.
