ICC-ES provides trusted Evaluation Service Reports (ESRs) to document a product’s compliance with Canadian codes. Unlike traditional certification bodies, ICC-ES develops unique criteria for innovative construction products – called Acceptance Criteria. When a code-referenced standard doesn’t exist to address an innovative product these standard-like documents set out the code requirements based on the alternative solution process described in the Canada’s National Model Construction Codes. Our decades of experience in criteria development is unmatched. Our transparent, rigorous development process includes Canadian design professional review, a public comment period, and approval by our committee of Canadian building officials.
Additionally, as a Standards Council of Canada (SCC) accredited certification body, ICC-ES offers Evaluation Service Listings (ESLs) based on Canadian code-referenced standards.
