Helvex’s patented system uses two mechanical seals based on gravity to ensure complete drainage of the unit, while perfectly sealing it from odors coming back from the drainage. An additional hydraulic seal is integrated at the end of the cartridge to prevent any kind of back pressure from the pipes, as well as to keep the seal after days without use. All this by using a combination of common and recyclable plastics, very resistant to any commercial use chemicals, as well as extreme variations in temperature.
Being mainly a mechanical system, a reliable and stable operation is ensured as it requires no special chemicals or refills of any kind, limiting its maintenance to a periodical cleaning process, using any product for this purpose, deriving in a zero cost of operation and an extremely low cost of maintenance, limited to the labor involved in the cleaning process.
