Until now, physical termite barriers only protect points of structures. TERM Barriers protect building envelope cracks, joints, seams, and gaps to the roof with TERM Water|Termite Barriers, exposed concrete perimeters with TERM 8-16 Grit Particle Barrier, and drainage and vent openings with TERM Micromesh. TERM components are used in the mainland and around the Pacific as barriers to the dreaded Formosan termite. Because TERM Barriers stop the 0.02" Formosan termite, they also block almost all pests. The result: longer lasting structures, reduced pesticide treatments, minimal maintenance, and improved quality of life because of fewer pest disruptions.
International Code Council standard AC380 'Acceptance Criteria for Physical Termite Barriers' requires 5 years of controlled field trials at multiple Formosan infested sites. TERM Barriers is one of only two meeting the AC380 standard. Since most states use ICC standards as model building codes, AC380 probably applies to your projects.
