C-Crete Technologies
C-Crete is a breakthrough pourable cement-free concrete that is CO2-emision free and actually absorbs CO2 over time while exceeding Portland cement concrete in performance. C-Crete's monumental inaugural pour in the Unitd States was in July 2023, where 60 tons of C-Crete was poured in the foundation and shear walls of a commercial building in Seattle, belonging to Don Davies, chair of Building Transparency. C-Crete used Heidelberg Materials as a ready mix company for this project. More construction projects are now being delivered with different ready mix companies. Key product features are:
- Zero use of Portland Cement
- Decarbonizing cement by saving up to 1.1 ton CO2 per ton of C-Crete binder
- Ultra-low embodied energy by using passive minerals and by-products
- Saving up to ~40% water
