Made from environmentally friendly recycled rubber (both pre- and post-consumer waste), our in-house recycling facility and patented manufacturing process play an important role in promoting a cleaner, healthier world by reusing waste that would otherwise go into landfills, and turn them into beautiful recycled rubber flooring for: Playgrounds, Rooftops, Fitness and more.
USGBC-LEED CONTRIBUTION
The U.S. Green Building Council promotes buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy. As a USGBC member, Unity products may help achieve up to 7 LEED credits. LEED evaluates the whole building's environmental performance over its life cycle.
Key LEED programs: LEED-NC (new construction), LEED-CI (commercial interiors/tenant spaces), and LEED-EB (existing buildings).
SUSTAINABILITY
Under normal foot traffic, our rubber flooring outperforms most competing products. Self-interlocking tiles/mats/pavers can be rotated between high- and low-traffic zones, and many are reversible—doubling product lifespan when properly maintained. End-of-life products can be shipped back to Unity for re-recycling into our many product lines, such as, but not limited to: Tough-Land, Pave-Land, Play-Land, Soft-Land, Rubber Curbs, Wear Pads, Rubber Mulch, and OEM products.

MR CREDIT 5 – LOCAL/REGIONAL MATERIALS
Unity products are manufactured in Saugerties, NY 12477, supporting projects within the 500-mile sourcing radius. Additional U.S. manufacturing venues are being explored.
MR CREDIT 2 – CONSTRUCTION WASTE MANAGEMENT
Salvages and overages can be shipped back to Unity to "close the loop"—recycled into new products or used as samples. Unity's exclusive Ecocyclable™ program defines reuse of products as the same or different finished goods. Unity is the only U.S. manufacturer to receive this designation.
EQ CREDIT 4 – LOW-EMITTING MATERIALS
Unity's CX-948 single-component polyurethane adhesive is VOC compliant, contains no solvents or water, and offers excellent grab and bond strength for indoor/outdoor use. VOC content: 45 g/L—below the SCAQMD limit of 50 g/L.
SS CREDIT 6 – STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
Unity products are pervious, achieving 0.13 gal/min/sq ft of filtration at the product body and 0.21 gal/min/sq ft at the seam. Compatible with green-roof applications and other stormwater solutions.
SS CREDIT 7 – HEAT ISLAND EFFECT
Unity offers EPDM/TPV colors with a minimum SRI of 65, meeting both non-roof (7.1) and roof (7.2) requirements. Additional recycled materials are being tested to expand SRI-compliant options. Contact Unity for a current list of qualifying colors.
