Welcome to the Reinforcing Steel Institute of Canada.
The RSIC's Mission is to promote and support reinforced concrete as the most effective and efficient construction method. Our association is made up of steel mills, rebar fabricators, accessory producers and associate members across Canada. We advocate on behalf of our industry and members throughout the construction industry.
The RSIC is responsible for publishing and distributing the RSIC Manual of Standard Practice. This docuemnt is universally considered the standard by which the rebar industry is govered across the country. The manual has been prepared by our Technical committee to reflect current codes, stanards and practices.
The RSIC also publishes and distributes the RSIC Placing Bars Manual. From General Contractors to bar fabricators to on site Rodmen, Detailers, Estimators, Field Inspectors, students and every position in-between, this publication is a vital asset for anyone involved with reinforced concrete construction in Canada.
