Ergotron uses movement to remove constraints from how people create, collaborate and work with technology. With a focus on healthcare, education, general office and custom solutions, we use ergonomic principles and user-centered designs to create kinetic work environments that help people thrive.

We are a movement company. It’s who we’ve been since founder Harry Sweere founded Ergotron in 1982 and earned patents on some of the first tilt stands, mounting arms and ergonomically correct desk stands.

Every product we’ve created removes a constraint or limitation with our adjustable technology furniture and digital display mounts supporting healthier, more productive environments for life and work. Our products and services rely on more than 200 patents to create an innovative portfolio of wall, ceiling and desk mounts; desk stands; office and tech furniture; sit-stand workstations; device charging stations; carts and vertical lifts.

It’s our aim to constantly evolve and find better, healthier ways for people to engage with their technology, with workstations and mounts that foster new ways of working together. Our award-winning brands—WorkFit™, LearnFit®, CareFit™, StyleView®, JŪV™, TeachWell®, Neo-Flex®, Anthro and OmniMount®—support everyday wellness and comfort by infusing movement into offices, classrooms and healthcare environments.

We move toward earth-friendly policies and practices that reduce our environmental footprint, even as we grow. More than 90% of all potential waste is recycled, reused or composted instead of being shipped to landfills. Our ISO 14001:2004 certification shows our commitment to best practices in the environmental management of our facilities worldwide.

Ergotron serves as a thought leader in combating sedentary behavior with our go-to resource,, which includes helpful tools and health benefits of increasing movement. We’ve been influential in research published by leading organizations and scientific journals, like the Centers of Disease Control & Prevention and the British Journal of Medicine.

Moving toward best-in-class people strategies, new ways of doing business and the adoption of new technologies, Ergotron never loses sight of our purpose or our customers. Ergotron is moving you forward.

 Press Releases

  • Ergotron, a global movement company focused on designing and manufacturing kinetic work environments, has announced Chad Severson as the organization’s chief executive officer. Chad has been serving as CEO for the company since January 1st of this year. Severson, who most recently served as president of InSinkErator, a division within Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, succeeds Pete Segar in the role.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Chad’s ability and experience to lead Ergotron and continue to build upon the momentum we’ve gathered as a business,” said Simon Peckham, CEO of parent company Melrose Industries. “With the ever growing trend of getting people to move more as they work, learn, play and care for others, Chad’s proven experience in strategy, marketing, operations and general management will prove advantageous for Ergotron who is a trusted brand and manufacturer in this space.”

As a senior leader with deep experience in building high performance teams across a variety of industries, Severson will focus the company on business strategy, innovation, lean execution and challenge existing conventions to drive greater appeal upon non-endemic audiences.

“Ergotron is in an exciting moment in time – we have strong customer relationships, an invested leadership and employees who are focused on innovation and developing products that solve real needs,” said Severson. “I’m eager to lead an organization with an important mission centered on wellness and productivity.”

Severson wants to challenge leaders and management teams who are failing to invest in adopting dynamic work environments for their teams.  “Workplaces that lack movement and remain static are truly a leadership challenge,” says Severson. “Flexibility in how, where and when an employee works is a necessary criteria organizations need to attract, retain top talent and realize high employee potential.  We’re ready to challenge leaders to plan for a comprehensive wellness approach that gives employees options for workspace movement throughout their day.

A graduate of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., Severson began his career at Emerson following the completion of his Air Force commitment. He held roles in analysis, product management, sales and marketing before leading business units across multiple verticals, including HVAC, outdoor power, construction, automotive and consumer durables. Severson also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University.
