Cecily Johnson is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) specialist in the Office of Equity and Diversity at the U.S. Department of Energy. In her current position, Ms. Johnson serves as an Affirmative Employment Program Manager for the Department. She reviews and analyzes management practices, policies and procedures, organization structures, recruitment and hiring practices, employment patterns, and advises managers of their impact on the Department’s efforts to overcome employment barriers that may hinder equal opportunity. She is responsible for developing and implementing the Management Directive (MD) -715 Report; the Federal Equal Opportunity Recruiting Program (FEORP) Report; and the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Statistical Report of Discrimination Complaints (EEOC Form 462 Report). Ms. Johnson also serves as Federally Employed Women’s Program Manager for the Department and Vice-Chair of Membership for EnergyVets. Ms. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in history and government and a master’s degree in public administration, public policy & management from Bowie State University. She is also a certified facilitator in Civil Treatment from ELI and has obtained several certifications in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell and Georgetown University. Ms. Johnson has served in the United States Army and enjoys playing tennis, roller skating and traveling with family.
