Profile

Craig A. Berg was appointed to an Administrative Judge position with the Merit Systems Protection Board’s Western Regional Office in San Francisco in 2001, and in December, 2009, he transferred to the same position in the Northeastern Regional Office in Philadelphia. Judge Berg has been with the Board for over 23 years in several different positions and locations. He started out as an Attornery-Advisor in the Board’s Office of General Counsel at Board headquarters in Washington, D.C. and subsequently served in the same capacity and location in the agency’s Office of Appeals Counsel for five years. Judge Berg is a trained mediator, and has been mediating cases in the Board’s Mediation Appeals Program for 13 years. He also serves the Board as a collateral duty EEO Counselor. Judge Berg received a B.A. in History in 1989 from Cornell University and a J.D. in 1995 from the Washington College of Law at the American University.
