The events of 2020 have created a new urgency to address racial equity in the workplace. This session will focus on Executive Order 13985, which was issued on Jan. 20, 2021 and calls for the advancement of racial equity, along with Dr. John Kotter's 8-Step Process for Leading Change, to help you develop a step-by-step blueprint for advancing racial equity in your organization. Oliver Allen and Roslyn Brown will discuss how to move beyond the concerns, fears, and anxiety associated with developing such programs and help you create a collaborative approach for finding solutions to racial inequities in the workplace. You will learn engagement strategies for employees who are offended, as well as engagement strategies for employees who offend.
