Join a lively and timely discussion of attorney legal ethics geared specifically for the needs of federal government lawyers. You’ll gain invaluable insights into the difference between being a zealous advocate and making arguments in the heat of litigation that may cross ethical and professional boundaries. Are you tired of dealing with clients, and want to move to a non-legal position in your agency? Learn about the ethical traps you may encounter in your new role and if the Rules of Professional Responsibility still apply. Ms. Witkin and Mr. Rosenblum will also discuss other issues that may be keeping you up at a night: Who is your client?; Does the attorney-client privilege exist in federal practice?; and Under what circumstances can you access the social media presence of represented or unrepresented individuals? These topics will be covered through group discussion and using the ABA’s Model Rules of Professional Responsibility as guidance.
