Description

This is a cross-over session between the EEO and HR program tracks.

Will the robots decide who gets a job? Or, worse, will the robots take our jobs? In what may still sound more science fiction than fact, these kinds of questions are among the hottest of the emerging issues in the employment space. With increasing uses of artificial intelligence in the hiring process aimed at maximizing the hiring of top talent while minimizing bias and subjectivity, questions regarding the intersection of AI and employment laws and processes are more important now than ever as remote work has become a new norm. John Sim will review the current issues surrounding AI and the recruiting and hiring process, and identify the potential pitfalls and how to navigate them.
