Profile

Michael Wolf has spent much of his career helping federal agencies and labor organizations prevent and manage conflict, resolve complex workplace disputes, and grow conflict competent culture. Michael recently returned to the Federal Labor Relations Authority as the ADR Director and ULP Settlement Official. Earlier, Michael spent a combined 17 years at the National Mediation Board and Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service as Counsel for Dispute Resolution Technology, Commissioner, Federal Mediator, Director of Mediation Technology Services, and Special Assistant to the agency Director. Michael also spent more than a decade as Counsel to NTEU and a brief time as a Congressional staffer. Michael has held leadership roles in the Association for Conflict Resolution, several bar associations, and the Steering Committee of the Federal Interagency ADR Working Group. He has been adjunct faculty at Pepperdine University Law School’s Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, Catholic University, the University of Baltimore, and a guest instructor at other universities. Michael’s 10th publication, a chapter about Online Dispute Resolution and Negotiation, is scheduled to appear this year in the 2nd edition of Online Dispute Resolution: Theory and Practice: A Treatise on Technology and Dispute Resolution. Michael earned a JD from Washington University in St. Louis and a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
