Profile
Nicole M. Diaz is a Senior Associate Attorney at Gilbert Employment Law, as well as Co-Chair of the firm’s Federal Sector EEO Practice Group. Ms. Diaz focuses her practice on federal sector labor and employment litigation. She has represented numerous clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), in federal district court, at arbitration and in collective bargaining negotiations, and has negotiated agreements dealing with various employment issues. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Ms. Diaz worked in the litigation division of the AARP Foundation, where she was a Litigation Fellow with the Age and Disability Discrimination team. Ms. Diaz earned her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School. She graduated summa cum laude from Emory University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and International Studies. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Ms. Diaz has been a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, and the Labor and Employment Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She recently presented at the EEOC’s EXCEL conference, and is an instructor with the Gilbert Training Group. Ms. Diaz has authored articles that have appeared in various trade publications
