Profile
Judge Morris holds degrees from Wake Forest University (B.A. 1980), the University of Wyoming (J.D. 1983), and Georgia State University (M.A. 1999). He is a member of the Wyoming State Bar. He began his legal career with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps at Fort Detrick, Maryland in 1983. From 1986 to 2010, Judge Morris was an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, working in Washington, D.C., Dallas, Cincinnati, and Atlanta. From 1992-1995 (in Cincinnati) and during 2004-2010 (in Atlanta) he was the regional supervisory attorney for the General Legal Services (GLS) function in IRS Chief Counsel. Judge Morris joined the Merit Systems Protection Board in late 2010. He and his wife Linda have four grown children and nine grandchildren.
